CLEAN FERTILIZER IN POTATO : THE AGRONOMICAL PARTNER TO FACE THE SEASON'S CHALLENGES

The sector is dominated by the processing industry. In north-western Europe — often referred to as the NEPG zone (Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany) — the potato market is heavily structured by the agri-food industry. Belgium occupies a central place in this system: the processing industries consume more than 6 million tons of potatoes per year.

2. HIGH PRICE VOLATILITY

The potato market is highly sensitive to production and stocks volumes.

Recent examples:

This volatility is exacerbated by:

Profitability now depends largely on industrial contracts, while producers are considering reducing the planted surface to rebalance the market for the coming season.

OPTIMIZE YOUR CORN NITROGEN FERTILIZATION LIMITING THE LEACHING AND VOLATILISATION RISKS

Dear partners, dear agronoms,

Are you looking for sustainable and performing solutions for your fertilization itineraries in corn? CLEAN FERTILIZER N28 from Advagreen is a very efficient solution to reduce the mineral Nitrogen fertilization while keeping under control the leaching and volatilization risks.

A MORE EFFICIENT NITROGEN SUPPLY STRATEGY

The foliar application of 30 L/ha of CLEAN FERTILIZER N28 in corn permits to complete or partially replace a traditional mineral supply. This strategy, focusing on efficiency, enhances at its maximum the Nitrogen efficiency during the active growth period of the crop, while reducing the effects of the abiotic stress bringing to Nitrogen losses due to leaching or volatilization.

A FLEXIBLE TECHNOLOGY FOR USE

Ideally, CLEAN FERTILIZER N28 is applied at row closing, key moment during which the plants take maximum profit of Nitrogen and moment during which the foliage receives and capture all applied product. Nevertheless, the product can be mixed with the post emergence herbicides, facilitating its integration in the existing agricultural practices and maximizing the number of field tractor crossing.

FEEDING BETTER YOUR OIL SEED RAPE WITH CLEAN FERTILIZER

The use of foliar methylene-urea, particularly CF-N28 in oil seed rape cultivation is an interesting agronomic strategy to secure the yield, while decreasing the total Nitrogen supply. The Clean fertilizer Technology complies with environmental constraints while securing the revenue of your crop.

AGRONOMICAL CONTEXT AND STRATEGY

The strategy tested was to integrate CLEAN FERTILIZER N28 in mix with the fungicide applied before flowering and to decrease the total Nitrogen supply.

METHODOLOGY

Comparisons between:

Control: baseline fertilization with urea ammonium nitrate, ammonium sulphate or ammonium nitrate equivalent to 30kg/ha N (BBCH 55).

CF N28: integration of CF-N28 at 30 L/ha at BBCH 55-57 (before flowering) in place of the standard products used in the control.

(see table)

CALCULATIONS

Taking in consideration the costs of the products replaced by Clean Fertilizer N28, the cost of Clean Fertilizer N28, the yield increase, the economy of a tractor crossing and the price paid to the farmers for their oil seed rape, the integration of Clean Fertilizer N28 in the oil seed rape fertilizing program permits to generate the following adding net revenue at farm gate.

FEEDING BETTER YOUR SUNFLOWER WITH CLEAN FERTILIZER

The use of Clean Fertilizer Technology, particularly CF-N28 and NSB, in sunflower cultivation is a promising agronomic strategy to support plants' recovery from post emergence herbicides, grain and oil yield, while decreasing the total Nitrogen supply. Clean Fertilizer technology represents also an opportunity to boost the yield when applied as a Nitrogen extra supply in difficult situations. The Clean fertilizer Technology complies with environmental constraints linked to the carbon impact of nitrogen fertilization in general. This summary presents the results of trials conducted with the support of the agronomy department of Braila University (Romania) and SADEF (France), highlighting the agronomical, economical, and physiological benefits of this technology.

AGRONOMICAL CONTEXT AND STRATEGIES

The trials were conducted in two different countries with strong pedoclimatic differences and during different seasons. Were also tried different strategies: decrease of total Nitrogen supply integrating CLEAN FERTILIZER technology in mix with the post emergence herbicide or extra Nitrogen supply before flowering together with a fungicide to support the plants towards the drought stress.

METHODOLOGY

Comparisons between:

Control: baseline fertilization with urea (full or reduced).

CF N28 and CF NSB: integration of CF-N28 and CF NSB at 30 L/ha at BBCH 14/16 or in combination with a fungicide at BBCH 50 (before flowering).

CLEAN FERTILIZER TECHNOLOGY THE PROVEN NITROGEN SUPPLY TO YOUR CROPS MAXIMIZING YOUR “N” INVESTMENT

Dear partners,

The unstable geopolitical situation we know brings with it a lot of sourcing difficulties with its flow of prices increases and speculations. In such a context, and more than ever, each invested Euro must provide the expected return to the farmers. When it turns to Nitrogen fertilization, it is crucial to propose highly efficient solutions which secure the N efficiency, because:

When nitrogen prices spike, efficiency is everything. It's not just the price per kg of nitrogen that counts BUT, it's the price per effective nitrogen kg which is important.

And, when the nitrogen does not provide the expected efficiency, even the cheapest nitrogen solution is too expensive!

IN ADVAGREEN

We propose through our CLEAN FERTILIZER Technology, a range of nitrogen-based formulations which demonstrate over the years its impressive efficiency. It is demonstrated that conventional fertilizers present an average loss of 45% of the nitrogen spread in the field. Meaning, 45% of the farmers' nitrogen investment is simply lost!

Thanks to our pluriannual trials database, we can also demonstrate that CLEAN FERTILIZER Technology products always respond and provide their full nutritional effect whatever the climatic conditions following their application are, permitting to secure yield and quality at harvest, even under climate changes conditions.

BOOST YOUR SUGAR BEETS

The use of Clean Fertilizer Technology, particularly CF-N28 and NSB, in sugar beet cultivation is a promising agronomic strategy to improve plant vigor, root yield, and sugar content. Clean Fertilizer technology represents an opportunity to comply with environmental constraints linked to the carbon impact of nitrogen fertilization in general.

This summary presents the results of trials conducted with the support of the agronomy department of Tienen refinery (RT-Belgium, Südzucker) with geometric weighing and sugar analysis between 2019 and 2025 in the loamy region of Belgium, highlighting the agronomical, economical, and physiological benefits of this technology.

AGRONOMICAL CONTEXT

The trials were conducted on deep loamy soils with a pH between 6.5 and 7.1, and a standard planting density of 100,000 to 110,000 plants/ha. The baseline fertilization consisted in a moderate supply of nitrogen (NA27). The elements Phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) were applied based on the plant's needs defined by an accredited laboratory. The objective was to evaluate the impact of CF-N28 and NSB applied as foliar sprays at different growth stages of sugar beet.

METHODOLOGY

COMPARISONS WERE MADE BETWEEN:

Control: baseline fertilization with NA27 only.

CF N28 or CF NSB: application of CF-N28 at 25 to 30 L/ha at row closure and/or in combination with a fungicide to evaluate yield and physiological differences.
